GENERAL APPLICATION PROCESS

What are the basic requirements our company must meet?

You need valid SGK and İŞKUR registrations, meet the 1:5 foreign-to-local worker ratio, demonstrate financial viability, and be an active tax payer.

How do we submit an application?

Applications are submitted electronically via the e-Government (e-Permit system). Our firm provides end-to-end guidance.

What documents are required?

Employment contract, passport copy, diploma translations, commercial registry documents, financial statements, signature circulars, and tax certificate.


SECTORS

Which sectors are more favorable for hiring foreign personnel?

Sectors requiring high expertise such as IT, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Engineering.

Are there extra requirements in tourism?

Yes, a license from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is required. Foreign staff may not exceed 10% of the workforce.

What additional documents are required in healthcare?

Pre-approval from the Provincial Directorate of Health and diploma equivalency, if applicable.


WORK PERMIT & VISA

How long does the work permit process take?

Typically, 1 month if documents are complete; longer if there are deficiencies.

Can a foreign worker begin employment before the permit is issued?

Absolutely not. Employing without a permit results in administrative fines.

What if the work permit application is rejected?

You may appeal the decision based on the rejection reason. We assist in the appeal process.


CONTRACTS & LEGAL COMPLIANCE

In what language should the contract be written?

Turkish is mandatory. An English or native language version can be prepared upon request.

What must be included in the contract?

Job title, salary, work hours, leave entitlements, SGK registration, and workplace location.

How is personal data protected?

All data is stored securely and handled in accordance with the KVKK. No data is shared without consent.


TRAINING & INTEGRATION

Is language training for foreign hires mandatory?

Not mandatory, but highly recommended. We offer language programs upon request.

What does cultural orientation include?

Information on Turkish culture, workplace norms, public services, transportation, and daily life.

Who manages the residence permit process?

Via official documents such as last year’s balance sheet, income statement, and tax certificate.

What if we can’t meet the Turkish employee quota?

The application will be rejected or may result in administrative penalties.

How are foreign worker salaries determined?

Based on sector-specific minimum wage coefficients set by the Ministry of Labor.
