Toulouse requests master's pre-applications before 15 November 2026 and doctoral pre-applications before 29 November. Doctoral candidates first need prospective supervisor support. These are Toulouse's internal deadlines; other institutions set their own schedules.
Use the current official call as the final checklist. Requirements differ; this planning list does not replace programme rules.
1. Check the right route
Confirm nationality/residence, study level, subject and host institution. For institutional EU projects, check organisation and consortium eligibility rather than individual student criteria.
2. Separate admission and funding
A university place may not include a scholarship. Record the institution’s admission deadline and the funder’s scholarship deadline separately.
3. Prepare core documents
Plan your CV, academic transcripts and diploma, motivation statement, references and, where required, research proposal or host invitation. Check translations, certification and document formats.
4. Check exams before booking
Verify accepted language/admission tests, score thresholds, validity dates and exemptions with both funder and host. Do not book IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE or GMAT on assumption alone.
5. Budget beyond the headline award
Check tuition, living expenses, travel, insurance, fees, deposits and payment timing. A stipend or contribution may leave costs to cover yourself.
6. Work back from the deadline
Record the exact date, time and timezone from the current call. Allow time for referee submission and institutional nomination; save confirmation after you submit directly through the official route.
There is no universal IELTS, TOEFL, SAT or GRE requirement. Check the scholarship and university separately for accepted tests, versions, minimum scores, validity and exemptions.
A fee does not secure a scholarship. Verify any application or test fee on the official provider's website; do not share passwords or identity documents through social-media messages.
